Do you sometimes wish you didn't have to lug even more things to school besides all the teaching materials? 🤔 Especially not your teacher's diary, which keeps filling up and getting heavier? Or do you sometimes feel like you can't find anything amidst all the chaos of worksheets, student excuses, parent letters, and lists and urgently need a smart solution? Then I have something for you: A digital teacher's diary! 🙌🏼

The switch from paper to digital
Again and again I read sentences like this in our reviews of the digital teacher calendar :
"I was absolutely convinced I would never give up my paper planner... and now I can't imagine doing anything else!"
“I never thought I could plan digitally – and now I never want to go back to paper!”
Teachers who swore by their beloved paper calendars for years are suddenly convinced fans of digital planning. Why? Because they've discovered that digital planning isn't as complicated as previously thought—and it offers an incredible number of possibilities! 🤩

But how can you switch from paper to digital planning without frustration? And why is the transition so difficult in the first place? 🤔 I want to explain all of this to you in this blog post – let's start with habits!
The power of habit
We humans love our routines. They give us security, make life more predictable, and simply feel... familiar. That's why we often find it difficult to change things—even if they could make our lives easier.
Here is a short example:
Every time I cook something new for my mom that she's not familiar with, she says, "No, Anna, I don't like that!" 🫣 My answer? "Just try it first!" And usually, after the first bite, she replies in amazement, "It tastes pretty good, actually." 😅
It's the same with digital planning. Many people think, "No, that's not for me." But once they try it, they realize, "Wow, this works even better than my old paper planner!" 🎉
Why switching is so easy (and worth it!)
The biggest misconception about switching to digital planning? That all the features will overwhelm you and it'll be too time-consuming to learn everything. 🫡 But that's not true! Of course, it takes some time to get used to digital planning – but I can assure you, it's worth it! A digital teacher's calendar offers exactly the benefits you love about your paper calendar – and complements them with features that make your life easier:
✅ Handwritten notes stay! (With the matching pen, you can also write by hand on your tablet.)
✅ No more crossed-out appointments! (Prescribe? Just undo it.)
✅ Your planner will be thicker - but not heavier! (No more lugging around heavy stuff - despite the ability to add endless pages!)
✅ Your calendar is always with you. (Synchronized across all devices.)
✅ Never search for anything again. (Thanks to the search function and hyperlinks, you'll find everything in seconds.)
✅ Much more environmentally friendly. (If you already own a tablet, you'll save tons of paper.)

And the best part? You can add photos, stickers, or even digital notes—without adding weight to your planner or having pages fall out. 😍
The key: The right equipment
Of course, not all technology is created equal. To make digital planning fun, you need the right equipment. Here's my recommendation:
⭐ iPadOS/ iOS: Goodnotes 6 = The perfect combination for intuitive and smooth planning.
⭐ Andorid: Penly = Offers a flexible and user-friendly interface for your digital planning.
⭐ Windows: Drawboard PDF = A great choice for efficient and structured digital planning.
The biggest misunderstandings
Some switch to a digital planner and expect the impossible:
❌ “Why can’t the planner calculate grades automatically?”
❌ “Why isn't there an import function for student lists?”
A digital teacher planner is NOT teacher software that automates everything. The digital teacher planner replaces your traditional paper calendar while still allowing you to take handwritten notes. At the same time, you benefit from features that an analog planner can't offer: You can add unlimited pages, insert stickers and images, and even link your digital lesson planner to the teacher planner. This makes your planning even more flexible and efficient.
Thousands of teachers are already using our digital teacher calendar and are thrilled with it. It perfectly combines the analog and digital planning worlds, making organizing not only easier but also significantly more enjoyable.
However, if you're looking for an app that automatically calculates grades and performs traditional administrative functions, our digital teacher calendar isn't the right choice for you. It's designed for teachers seeking an intuitive and creative solution for their lesson planning! 🤩
“The world belongs to the brave”
If you're now thinking, "But can I even do that?" , let me tell you about a teacher and her experiences with digital planning. At 65 (!), she traded in her paper calendar for a digital planner – simply because she was open to new ideas. 😍 That's exactly what she described in her email to us: "The world belongs to the brave."
Age (or your tech affinity) won't hold you back. Only your own habits will.
Just try it – risk-free

If you're still unsure, just try it out!
You have 30 days to test the digital teacher calendar at your leisure. If you're not convinced, you'll get your money back – completely risk-free. 🤩
And who knows? Maybe you'll write me the exact same message soon:
“I never thought I'd let go of my paper calendar—but now I never want to go back.”😉
