"Anyone can cook!" – If you're familiar with the Disney film Ratatouille , you might remember this quote from celebrity chef Gusteau. And even though I (thankfully) don't have a little rat in my kitchen, I have to admit: There's some truth to that statement! Because ratatouille is one of those dishes that always turns out well – whether you're a professional chef or not.

This ratatouille recipe is one of my absolute favorites because it not only tastes good but also looks beautiful - and what's more, it's really easy to prepare! Digital recipe book

From eggplant to zucchini: The ingredients for your ratatouille Ratatouille ingredients

  • 1 zucchini

  • 1 eggplant

  • 2 tomatoes

  • 1-2 onions

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 400 ml strained tomatoes

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Provençal herbs

  • salt and pepper

  • Fresh parsley

  • Mozzarella

Step-by-step instructions: How to prepare ratatouille easily and deliciously

Step 1: Prepare the vegetables Vegetable Ratatouille

Once you've washed all the ingredients, you can start by slicing the zucchini, tomatoes, and eggplant. You can also finely chop the onion and garlic. 🍆🍅🌿 Vegetarian Ratatouille

Step 2: Prepare the sauce Ratatouille Digital Recipe

  1. First fry the onions in a little oil and after a short time add the garlic.

  2. Then add the strained tomatoes to the pan.

  3. After the spices have been added, the sauce needs to simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.

Step 3: Layer vegetables and put them in the oven! Digital cookbook

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat).

  2. Pour the finished tomato sauce into a baking dish.

  3. Layer the chopped vegetables in a fan-shaped pattern into the dish – this creates the typical ratatouille pattern! 😍

  4. Drizzle with olive oil and mozzarella and bake in the oven for 40 minutes .

Step 4: Serve & enjoy!
