Good, structured planning is essential in a teacher's daily life. It not only helps you keep track of things but also saves valuable time. We offer two digital products to help you achieve this: the digital teacher calendar and the digital lesson planner . You might be wondering why you should use two different tools —and whether one planner isn't enough? In this blog post, I'll explain why both planners work perfectly together and how they can make your daily life as a teacher much easier .
The digital teacher calendar : structure for your school and private life
The digital teacher's calendar is your companion for all important appointments and tasks in everyday school life . It's dated , making it ideal for recording conferences, parent-teacher meetings, recess supervision, and other events. Private appointments and notes can also be easily entered here, so you have everything in one place . This helps you keep track of your entire day—both school and personal. This makes your everyday teaching life much easier. Let's be honest: In everyday school life, things can quickly become confusing if you lose track of meetings, substitute assignments, or office hours. I used to often forget to supervise my recess because my mind was elsewhere—but thanks to the overview in the teacher's calendar, that no longer happens! There, I can see at a glance which important appointments are scheduled for each day . 📅👀

The digital lesson planner : Long-term organization of your lesson content
Unlike the teacher's calendar, the digital lesson planner is undated, making it perfect for detailed lesson planning . Here, you can record and archive blackboard images, lesson notes, learning objectives, and work materials for long-term storage . The big advantage: You don't have to create or transfer your plans every year. Instead, you can access your existing materials , adapt them, and develop them further—which can really save you a lot of time in the hectic school day!
Imagine you created a perfectly planned lesson last school year. Instead of rewriting it, you can import it directly from the lesson planner to reuse it or make minor adjustments. This long-term use makes the lesson planner an invaluable tool in my daily teaching life! While I used to have to sift through countless folders to find the right materials in my study, now it only takes a click! This not only saves me time, but also a lot of stress when planning! 🙇♀️
If you're still unsure which format is right for you and your lesson planning, I can give you the following tip: Consider how you prefer to work. If you prefer to organize your lesson planning in landscape format, I recommend purchasing the planner in landscape format and rotating the linked worksheet pages in GoodNotes 90° to portrait format. If you realize after purchasing that you'd prefer a different format, no problem! Just send us a quick message, and we'll replace the product for you.

How both planners work together perfectly
Imagine using a single product that covers everything—from lesson planning and class organization to your personal notes. While this sounds practical at first, there's one major problem: archiving . The reason you need both planners is simple: The teacher's calendar helps you keep track of your daily appointments and tasks, while the lesson planner supports your long-term lesson planning. Both calendars have their specific strengths and therefore complement each other perfectly.
An everyday example: You have a parent-teacher conference, a conference, and a break supervision meeting to organize. You enter all of these appointments in your teacher's calendar so you don't forget anything. At the same time, you plan your lessons for the next week in the lesson planner by linking worksheets and recording your lessons in detail. This way, you can keep track of both your appointments and the content preparation for your lesson.
Conclusion: The perfect duo for your everyday teaching life
The digital teacher calendar helps you…
✅ to organize all important private and school appointments.
✅ Never forget to supervise breaks or office hours again!
✅ to keep an overview in the hectic everyday life of a teacher!
The digital lesson planner is ideal for…
✅ plan your lessons in detail.
✅ to archive your materials clearly.
✅ Keep all teaching materials in one place.

These two planners complement each other perfectly, because in the hectic school day, you need to efficiently manage both your appointments and your lesson planning . With the combination of teacher calendar and lesson planner , you'll be optimally organized, save valuable time, and focus on what matters most—your lessons and your students. Definitely a game-changer for me as a teacher! 🤩

Hallo,

Paperless Life:
