I've been seeing this recipe everywhere over the past few weeks —on TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest. And since the pictures and videos all looked so delicious, I just had to try the recipe for these delicious potato wraps myself!
Table of contents

Be sure to use plenty of cheese, otherwise the wrap will fall apart—that's what happened to me the first time! 😅 Find out what you can definitely improve when making this recipe in this blog post—because I loved the wraps so much, I just had to share the recipe with you today! 👇🏼
Ingredients: It couldn't be simpler (but it couldn't be tastier either!)
For the basic version, you only need two things – and then you can creatively top your wrap with anything you like:
🥔 For the potato wrap:
-
Potatoes (waxy or mostly waxy)
-
Lots of grated cheese (e.g. Gouda, Cheddar or a mix)
🥗 Here comes my version of the toppings:
-
Tomatoes 🍅
-
peppers 🫑
-
Cucumber 🥒
-
Onion 🧅
-
spring onions
-
Salt & Pepper
🧄 My additional tip: Cream cheese leek dip
Optional, but absolutely recommended!
-
cream cheese
-
Crème fraîche
-
2 spring onions
-
Salt & Pepper
Your new favorite snack in under 30 minutes
Step 1: Cut potatoes
Cut the potatoes into very thin slices —this works best with a grater. Make sure they're really thin so they cook thoroughly in the oven and are nice and pliable!
Step 2: Layer potatoes and sprinkle with cheese
Arrange the thin slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, slightly overlapping them to form a continuous rectangle. Now for the most important part: Sprinkle generously with cheese! 🧀 (I used too little the first time, so the wrap wouldn't stay together.)
Step 3: Into the oven
Bake at 180 degrees (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Step 4: Prepare the dip (optional, but sooo good!)
In the meantime, you can prepare the cream cheese dip. To do this, whisk the cream cheese and crème fraîche until smooth, season with salt and pepper, and fold in the sliced spring onions. And there you have it, my absolute favorite dip—the perfect base for your potato wrap! 😋
Step 5: Prepare the topping
Next, it's time to fill the wrap: cut the tomatoes, cucumber, and peppers into pieces, wash the lettuce, and set everything aside.
Step 6: Top the wrap & enjoy
After 20 minutes, remove the wraps from the oven, carefully remove them from the baking paper – and you're ready to top them:
First the dip, then the vegetables, a little salt and pepper—and carefully roll it up. Voilà! Your homemade potato wrap is ready to enjoy! 🌯
That's why this wrap is going viral everywhere right now – and rightly so!
